Carolyn T. Bryson, President of ACCORD Mediation Services
and ADDENDASolutions
I enjoy mentoring others who want to pursue their dream of owning
their own business. That is why I started ADDENDA Solutions two
years ago as a business coaching company. We write business plans,
marketing plans, and coach entrepreneurs (whether new or seasoned),
while consulting business owners as specific needs or problems
arise once their business is up and running.
During 1979 through 1993, I held several executive and managerial
positions in banking and finance, specializing in consumer and
commercial lending:
Central Trust Bank
Regional Sales Manager, Household Finance Corp.
Vice President of RGP Funding, Inc.
Senior Residential and Commercial Loan Officer,
Marine Midland Bank
From 1993 to the present, I incorporated my professional experience
as a former banker into the field of alternative dispute resolution,
working for a State government agency, a non-profit organization,
and now as an entrepreneur of two businesses:
President of ACCORD Mediation and Arbitration
Services
of Rochester and the Finger Lakes
President of Addenda Corporation
Former Director of Monroe County
Mediation and
Arbitration
Programs for the Center for Dispute
Settlement
of Rochester and the Finger Lakes
Former employee for the New
York State Attorney
General’s
Office – Rochester
I have earned two degrees:
Business, Management
and Economics, concentrating in banking and finance from Rochester
Institute of Technology and SUNY Empire State College
BS
in Psychology and Human Development, Majoring in Conflict Resolution
and Alternative Dispute Resolution from Cornell School of Industrial
and Labor Relations and SUNY Empire State College

Lisa
Pelletier, Owner of Pelletier Accounting and Tax Service
After 10 years of working in a man's world and not getting credit
for my work, I decided to start my own practice, which is minutes
away from my residence. Being a mother with two small children
and loving what I do, my life is very rich and complete. I have
experienced many ups and downs while running my own business:
servicing and satisfying my clients, finding reliable employees,
surviving economic cycles, and balancing growing expenses with
revenues.
In spite of all the challenges, I love what I do. I enjoy seeing
people take an idea and succeeding with it. It's fun watching
people grow and succeed. Without the support of my husband and
family, I could not do it. My number one advice to anyone thinking
about starting their business is "enjoy what you do! Make
what you love your career, otherwise you will be miserable.”
